The unveiling of the 117th IOC Session Emblem was successfully held on 14 May 2004 at the Swissotel the Stamford Hotel.

Members of the sporting fraternity, sponsors for the Olympic Programme and the local and foreign media were invited to witness the unveiling of the 117th IOC Session Emblem Ceremony.

The ceremony was hosted by Mr Ng Ser Miang, President of the 117th IOC Session, Singapore Organising Committee and IOC Member in Singapore, and graced by the two Advisors for the 117th IOC Session, Singapore Organising Committee, Mr Teo Chee Hean, Minister for Defence and President of the Singapore National Olympic Council and Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, the then Minister for Community Development and Sports.
